What to do in Maresme with children?

Francesc Macià Park is one of the best parks on the Maresme coast for families with children. It features sports areas, playgrounds for all ages, an amphitheater, and picnic and relaxation areas. Furthermore, during the summer months, the park is open until 11 pm, allowing parents to enjoy an ice cream while the children play on the swings.

Another park to visit with the family is Parc del Castell, located in one of the highest areas of Malgrat de Mar. In there, you can find Torre del Castell, an old watchtower against pirates where today you can enjoy views privileged of the entire population.

The Maresme coast boasts long beaches that stretch from the Tordera River to the town of Montgat. Malgrat de Mar has more than 4 kilometres of shallow coastline to enjoy a day at the beach with the family, playing in the water and building sand castles. Choose from the beaches of Malgrat de Mar and take advantage of the sun and the good temperatures!

The Tordera river's Delta area is perfect for exploring on foot or by bicycle, offering a chance to observe the characteristic flora and fauna of the Maresme coast. Another ideal place to visit with the family is Pla de Grau, a large protected agricultural area where produce such as endive and "fesol del ganxet," a variety of white bean with a protected designation of origin found only in this area, is cultivated.

If you want to make the most of your holidays, during the summer months you can enjoy endless fun by visiting one of the water parks located near the town of Malgrat de Mar. The water parks of Illa Fantasia (in Vilassar de Mar), Water World (in Lloret de Mar) or Marineland (in Palafolls) are perfect for the whole family.
