Francesc Macià park
Francesc Macià park is located on an elevated position right in the centre of Malgrat de Mar (Av. de la Costa Brava, 77), about 15 minutes walk from Hotel Papi and Hotel Papi Blau. It is especially popular for its giant sculptures and, with an area of 40,000 m2, is one of the largest children's parks in the area.
Different areas made for fun
This park is perfect for visiting with children, as it has different sports areas (with a pétanque court, volleyball and badminton court; a multi-sports court for basketball and football, ping-pong tables and a skate park), children's play areas (with an area for children under 3 years old and another for children between 3 and 14 years old, as well as an auditory play area for all ages), an amphitheater for cultural shows and very spacious picnic and rest areas.
A small botanical garden
The park is home to a large number of plant species, from deciduous to evergreen trees, of different sizes and volumes, which provides great visual richness and makes it a small botanical garden with recreational and educational functions at the same time.
An accessible park
Francesc Macià Park is fully accessible and the toilets, fountains and benches are designed so that everyone can use them without difficulty.
Its opening hours are from 8am to 8pm from October to March, from 8am to 10pm from April to June and from 8am to 11pm from July to September.
